Talk Show Host Warren Ballentine is Dropped from WAOK Atlanta
Courtesy of BlackTalkers.com- Warren Ballentine is out in Atlanta - The talk show host writes on Facebook: "The show is still on everyday across the nation. We lost 1380am in Atlanta but already have 3 other stations looking to add us in the ATL. We are still on everywhere else. Shame aok let us go, cause of egos. (I missed FSO and they felt disrespected even though I couldn't make it 'till that Sunday) black folks what can we do?"
Did Warren Ballentine get dumped because he only made one appearance at the 20th anniversary FSO (For Sisters Only) weekend event back in September as he claims?
FSO is co-sponsored by CBS Atlanta sister stations V-103 and WAOK.
Fans of the show react on the WAOK facebook page. Warren Ballentine is syndicated through Radio One and he along with Al Sharpton both garnered a following in Atlanta on the former Grown Folks Radio 102.5 FM until a format change to Gospel. WAOK and CBS Radio decided to pick up both shows in 2009 and add them to their daily broadcast schedule after some protests from the Atlanta community.
Warren Ballentine is back on in Atlanta on 1010 AM from 10:00AM to 1:00PM. Spread the word!
