Baisden Entertains at the DNC

Commentary:
How does a former transit worker, book hustler and self-admitted cheater become a compelling radio host? Thinking outside the box is the answer. Michael Baisden continues to bring interesting and entertaining content to his show each and everyday.

I applaud him for his innovation during the Democratic National Convention in Denver. Before Sen. Barack Obama's historic speech, Baisden was determined to bring some of the flavor of the day to the airwaves across the nation. So Baisden boarded the shuttle from the radio broadcast center over to INVESCO Field at Mile High stadium. (He told us this was not planned. Who knows?) Without a microphone, what would he use? He used his cellphone to interview folks on the bus. Great move! He captured the moment for those of us not there in Denver or in front of our TVs and driving in our cars just listening to the radio. Some may say syndication is bad, although I'm not a big fan of it, Baisden has studied the craft of radio and continues to bring it each day to the radio.

Part One of Barack Obama acceptance speech at the DNC

Michael Baisden has been added to the line up of 97.7 WRBJ in Jackson, Mississippi beginning September 2, from 2pm-6pm.
