DeDe McGuire and the Crazy-Azz Morning Show on K104
Urban Hip-Hop/R&B station K-104 (KKDA) after several changes over the last year in the A.M., names DeDe McGuire as the lead host of their reworked and new Crazy-Azz Morning Show. She will be joined by Lady Jade and Kevvy Kev, holdovers from the previous two morning shows at the station. DeDe also co-hosts with Doug Banks on the syndicated "The Doug Banks Show" in the afternoon.
"I know this is a rare opportunity for a woman and I’m very thankful for this chance to sit in the big chair. I’m confident in the team we have at K104 and look forward to reaching #1."
I'm proud to see a black woman leading a morning show in a major market, but we all know that this just a "stop-loss" for Service Broadcasting. Hyman Childs is still looking for a permanent replacement for the 6-10am daypart. This is so unfortunate that "K-104" has spun so far down the drain as the "leading" urban-formatted radio station in the DFW Metroplex
