Jeff Brown Exits 96.3 WHUR as The Original Quiet Storm Host

Jeff Brown, who has been a fixture on Washington D.C.'s 96.3 WHUR as the Quiet Storm host for 15 years has exited the station. Recently the station also parted ways with longtime midday host Triscina Grey, who had been at the station since 1991.

WHUR is the station that launched the Quiet Storm format with host Melvin Lindsey in 1976 under the leadership of then sales manager of the station Cathy Hughes. She of course went on to purchase AM station 1450 WOL. Which became the flagship station under Radio One, Inc. founded in 1979.

WHUR has not revealed replacements for the midday and evening host slots at the station. Although veteran radio personality and 'Pillow Talk' host Angela Stribling has been holding down the shift since Jeff Brown's departure.
