Donnie Simpson Holding it Down on The Tom Joyner Morning Show
Tom Joyner is not slated to return to his morning show until January 16th, however to the surprise of many listeners a familiar voice was on the air instead of Tom's usual back up host Skip Murphy. (Think BET, Video Soul from back in the day) This morning Donnie Simpson sat in for Tom Joyner and will be on the air the next two weeks for the vacationing Joyner. [Listen Below]
Would Reach Media consider Simpson as the next host on the morning show when Tom retires in 2019?
Most likely not at this stage of his radio career, but Donnie would be an interesting choice. Simpson currently is the afternoon host on local Washington, D.C., Radio One Urban AC station "Majic 102.3/92.7". By the way two former radio co-hosts for Donnie Simpson when his show aired on 95.5 WPGC, Huggy Lowdown and Chris Paul, have daily segments on the Tom Joyner Morning Show.
