Clear Channel begins MLK Memorial Radiothon
In commemoration of the 45th anniversary of the March on Washington and the ‘I Have a Dream’ speech, 38 Clear Channel stations nationwide and the Martin Luther King, Jr. National Memorial Project Foundation will collaborate in the Clear Channel "Build the Dream" Radiothon on Thursday August 28.
All stations will solicit donations on-air and online. Listeners will be directed to the Memorial Foundation’s website www.mlkradiothon.org and to (800) MLK-1386 to make a donation. All funds raised from the campaign will go towards the Memorial, which will be erected on the National Mall in Washington, DC.
