MSNBC Brings Al Sharpton "In", The Young Turk's loose cannon Cenk Uygur "Out"

The New York Times is reporting that Al Sharpton will be hired by MSNBC, which was acknowledged by three people at the channel on condition of anonymity. In the meantime Cenk Uygur of The Young Turks webcast has left the 6:00 p.m. slot on the network even though he was offered a weekend show at the station. In the [VIDEO] below he accuses top brass at MSNBC of caving in to the pressure of “people in Washington” who wanted him to tone down his criticism.

- According to the website Richard Prince's Journal-isms,
not everyone would be happy with a Sharpton hire at MSNBC, One NABJ (National Association of Black Journalist) member told colleagues, "This would still be just another non-journalist media 'celebrity' receiving a TV show based upon their name recognition, not their years of experience, training, ability and talent."

But at the end of the day with corporate media, isn't it really all about who can deliver ratings and not
journalistic credibility?

Cenk turned down double the money he was making before...
