Steve Harvey Welcomes J. Anthony Brown to His Radio Show

J. Anthony Brown took a shot at the Tom Joyner Morning Show during his introduction to the Steve Harvey Morning Show. (All in good fun.) Joyner's show is not heard in Los Angeles, even though, the TJMS' roster of rotating comedians, including Arsenio Hall and Sherri Shepherd often broadcast from radio studios in LA. The TJMS is heard in Washington, DC, however only on AM terrestrial radio station 1450 WOL with a limited signal. Steve Harvey is heard on a delayed-basis on 102.3 KJLH in LA and live on 96.3 WHUR in DC. The stations in Atlanta and Miami only air the TJMS until 9:00 ET instead of the regular 6-10 a.m.

Brown joked and said he hesitated at first when Harvey first offered him the job. “When he offered me how much money? I see you all in the morning, man!”

The Steve Harvey Morning Show reportedly will be relocating from Atlanta to Los Angeles within a month. Seems like this move will be a winner for Brown, as Harvey may be looking to vacate his radio gig within a year.

Comedian and veteran radio personality J. Anthony Brown will begin his new role as a daily contributor for Premiere Networks’ The Steve Harvey Morning Show.

Harvey and his radio co-hosts Shirley Strawberry, Nephew Tommy, Carla Ferrell and Junior are welcoming Brown to the top-rated, award-winning radio program.

“I’ve known J since my very first comedy gig outside of Cleveland, and it’s my joy to be reunited with the man who taught me real comedy,” shared Harvey. “Get ready folks – we’re ‘bout to turn the funny meter up 10 notches. Having J join Shirley, Nephew Tommy, Carla, Junior and myself is going to create bend over, stop the car, spit on your computer, spray your drink, gut-busting laugher. We’ve also got lots of new stuff planned, so hang on, this is the best ride in all of radio.”
