ESPN Issues Statement on Firestorm Tweets from Jemele Hill on President Trump

ESPN SportsCenter host Jemele Hill called President Donald Trump a white supremacist and a bigot on Twitter Monday evening. ESPN responded with the following statement. ESPN's actions earned the Donkey of the Day from Charlamagne tha god on syndicated morning show The Breakfast Club and an uproar throughout the media over her opinion.

This is what Hill said on Twitter.  These tweets were inappropriate according to her employer ESPN.

Was there anything here that was inaccurate? After off it's her giving her opinion and ESPN has obviously re-invented themselves over the last year or so by featuring their personalities. Given the fact that Jemele Hill and Michael Smith were pulled from their afternoon show "His & Her' and given a prominent SportsCenter anchor spot at 6 p.m.slot. ESPN wants to gain viewers by encouraging their sports anchors to be more personality driven. (i.e. Stephen A. Smith, Scott Van Pelt, etc.)

Look for Bomani Jones to have his own show on ESPN in January. And if you know Bomani, then you know he will give his opinion whether it's popular or not.
