CBS 60 Minutes Profiles New York radio personality Vy Higginsen's 'Gospel for Teens'

60 Minutes featured Vy Higgensen's "Gospel for Teens" Foundation on their most recent broadcast. So in case you missed it here it is again with correspondent Leslie Stahl.

Higgensen, who wrote the Off-Broadway play "Mama, I Want to Sing" and was an on-air personality on WLIB, WBLS, and WRKS, is saving the lives of many teenagers in New York City through gospel music. Although her intentions initially was to just save the music. What an inspirational story!

(From CBS News) There's a street in Harlem that comes alive every Saturday with the sound of gospel music. You won't find any church there - just a brownstone full of teenagers and the woman who draws them in.

Her name is Vy Higginsen, a New York radio personality and theater producer. Five years ago she created something called "Gospel for Teens." Read more...
