It's Six O'Clock Time For Greg Street to Rock in the Afternoons as Kenny Burns Exits V-103 WVEE
Audacy Atlanta and V-103 (WVEE-FM) have moved 30-year radio personality and night host Greg Street to the station's afternoon slot from 3-7pm ET. Midday host Ramona DeBreaux will add an hour to her show and will now be heard from 10- 3pm following The Big Tigger Morning Show. Lil Bankhead will take over nights followed by Joyce Littel with The Quiet Storm. All moves are effective August 8. Exiting from the station is Kenny Burns.
Greg Street joined V-103 in June of 1995. From 2003 to 2005, he split his time between V-103 and K-104 in Dallas, before returning to V-103 full time in 2005. Before 1995 Street was on air at Magic 102.1 KMJQ-FM in Houston, 93 WBLX-FM in Mobile and also WORV-WJMG in Hattiesburg, MS.
"Greg Street has been one of Atlanta's and this country's most influential radio personalities and has entertained, engaged and inspired an entire generation," said Audacy Atlanta Senior Vice President and Market Manager Rick Caffey. "We are excited to feature Greg more prominently in a primetime weekday daypart."
"Here we go... the ride home will never be the same," added Street. "I'll be rocking at 3 o'clock, 4 o'clock, 5 o'clock and 6 o'clock. It's time for Greg Street to rock on V-103."
In 2018, Audacy Atlanta renamed its market-wide community service award after Street in honor of his work in the local community. In 2006, Street started "We Need 2 Read," a reading initiative for school-aged children that rewards kids who have improved reading scores in local schools with cash, toys and video games.
