Cathy Hughes and John Conyers - An Unlikely Happy Pair
Radio One, Inc. Founder & Chairperson Cathy Hughes received the Black fraternity Kappa Alpha Psi's Humanitarian Award earlier this month and poses for a picture with Rep. John Conyers of Michigan. You would think they would be uncomfortable in each other's presence. Doesn't seem to be the case here... In fact they seem to be having a good time among the Nupes at the Washington, D.C. affair.
...Wait a second that's the same John Conyers (and Kappa man by the way) that you told your listeners to call, e-mail and write to, because he is putting BLACK RADIO OUT OF BUSINESS because of the Performance Royalty Tax he's supporting! Cathy this is war!!! Why are socializing and kibitzing with the enemy? This is strange, strange indeed...Every Radio One station has this story on their website...and this is the photo they have chosen to use.
