Renel in the Morning Returns to 98.1 Kiss FM
Renel Brooks-Moon said goodbye to her many fans in the San Francisco - Oakland Bay Area about a year ago as the long time morning host at KISQ 98.1 Kiss FM.
The award winning and top rated radio host will mark her return on Monday morning as she calls it her "return" and not a comeback to the Old School station. Renel is also, as you can see by the photo, the public address announcer for the San Francisco Giants major league baseball team. She had been a victim of the massive budget cuts made by Clear Channel Radio in early 2009.
98.1 Kiss FM is very much different from the usual Urban AC / R&B and Old School station. The station has a dance and jammin' oldies feel to it. You will hear a heavy dose of upbeat songs from the likes of Prince, Carlos Santana, MC Hammer and Earth, Wind and Fire. Ballads and slow jams are rarely played on the station which you will find on many Clear Channel owned Urban AC stations like KHHT Hot 92.3 in Los Angeles for example. Renel's return just seems to be the right fit for the personality of the station and for the listeners of the Bay area.
