Hip Hop out, Country in - 92.5 The Box 'Kicked to the Curb'
92.5 The Box launched as an urban station for Charleston in March 2010. The short run for this format at 92.5 is over next week. The Box given a little over a year was not able to knock off top rated Z93 WWWZ and its local programming. The question remains is where will the Rickey Smiley Morning Show land, if any place at all in Charleston, with the format shuffle.

From Radio Insight.com -Apex Broadcasting is planning a shuffle at its Charleston, SC cluster. Country “Kickin’ 95.9” WIOP is promoting “The Biggest Announcement Ever” for Tuesday, May 31 at 5:00pm. We can tell you that at that time the station will announce it will be moving to the 92.5 slot currently held by Urban “92.5 The Box“ WIHB. Kickin925.com has been registered and a Facebook page is currently in place.
