Thumb Ups and Thumb Downs Reach 10 Billion on Pandora Internet Radio
The personalized internet radio player Pandora reached a major milestone last week when it recorded its 10 billionth thumb and it was a thumbs up.
Founder Tim Westergren says in his blog: Of the many milestones we've hit over the past 6 years, this is perhaps the one that makes us most proud. We created Pandora to bring personalization to radio, to allow each individual to determine the sound of their stations, and to make it as simple and intuitive as possible. This milestone can only be interpreted as listeners of Pandora are actively using this feature that allows the player to personalize their listening experience rather than letting the player randomly pick songs without any interaction from the user.
