Talk Show Host Warren Ballentine Back on the Air in Atlanta

Atlanta's 1010 is a new progressive talk station in the ATL on WGUN 1010 AM. The station will feature syndicated talkers Warren Ballentine from 10am-1pm; Ed Schultz, 1-3pm; Randy Rhodes, 3-6pm; Thom Hartmann, 6-9pm; and Mike Malloy from 9pm-midnight. The station previous ran an R&B Oldies format.

Ballentine had been a part of the daily lineup at talker WAOK until December. He said via his facebook page that he got dumped because he only made one appearance at the 20th anniversary FSO (For Sisters Only) weekend event sponsored by CBS Radio, WAOK, and WVEE V-103.

Meanwhile we're wondered if WGUN will change their call letters? It doesn't quite fit a progressive talk station format.
