PJ Butta returns to Los Angeles radio on KDAY
Former KKBT on-air personality, PJ Butta returns to Los Angeles radio airwaves doing afternoons, 3pm-7pm, on 93.5 KDAY.
PJ began his radio career at now defunct LA urban station, KKBT (The Beat), working his way up from promotions intern to on-air personality, where he did overnights and evenings for 10 years. After KKBT, PJ worked on-air at rhythmic AC station KHHT (Hot 92.3).
KDAY PD Adrian (A.D.) Scott commented, “We are happy to be adding PJ to our ever-growing KDAY line-up. His experience in the market and his knowledge of the KDAY music makes a perfect fit for our brand.”
PJ adds, “”I said the day I come back to radio is the day Arsenio Hall comes back to late-night TV. Well, I really didn’t expect either to happen. But it has and I’m excited to be back and working at KDAY.” In addition to his new afternoon shift on KDAY, PJ will continue teaching broadcasting classes at Mt. San Antonio College (Mt. SAC), DJing in the clubs, and recording his internationally syndicated Top 20 Hip Hop and R&B countdown, The World Chart Show, which is aired on over 25 stations from Africa to New Zealand and throughout the Caribbean, as well as his weekly one-hour new music mixshow, Another Butta Bootleg Show, that is based on his website, www.pjbutta.com.
