Kris Kelley Named Program Director of 107.5 WGCI-FM and WKSC-FM/103.5 Kiss FM
Kelley Moves From Midday Personality at V103 Chicago to Program Director
Clear Channel Media and Entertainment Chicago has named Kris Kelley program director for two of its most popular local radio outlets; Top 40-formatted Kiss 103.5 (WKSC-FM) and urban contemporary-formatted 107.5 WGCI-FM.
Kelley was promoted to her new job from her previous posts as assistant program director at WGCI and midday host at urban adult-formatted V103 (WVAZ 102.7 FM). Kelley will now assume programming duties full time and give up her on-air berth at WGCI.
Tony Coles, operations manager for Clear Channel in Chicago, said he tapped Kelley for the top programming job at the two stations because she understands the 18 to 34-year-old demographic. “We have the two most powerful youth-targeted brands in the market, and I cannot think of anyone more qualified to lead these great stations,” said Coles. Kris Kelley added, "I am thrilled to join the very talented team of WKSC and continue working with the amazing staff at WGCI. I'm looking forward to continuing to bring great radio to the city of Chicago."
Kelley has been with Clear Channel since 2007 and previously held positions with the company in the Pittsburgh and Detroit markets.
