Radio One Names Tim Davies Regional VP
Radio One Atlanta VP/general manager Tim Davies has been promoted to regional Vice President. The new title recognizes Davies’ work overseeing the Radio One Atlanta and Reach Media operations.
That includes four radio stations- urban WHTA (Hot 107.9), urban AC WUMJ (Majic 107.5/97.5), gospel WPZE (Praise 102.5) and classic hip-hop “Boom 102.9,” which broadcasts on the Decatur, GA-licensed translator W275BK at 102.9. It also includes four syndicated radio shows-“The Rickey Smiley Morning Show,” “The Ed Lover Morning Show,” “The Willie Moore, Jr. Show” and “The Nightly Spirit with Darlene McCoy.”
“Tim is a proven market leader who has been consistently progressive in his business acumen, sales strategy and people management skills,” Radio One/Reach Media CEO David Kantor said. “His steadfast leadership has continued to position our local stations and nationally syndicated shows to win. It’s a pleasure to announce his well-deserved promotion.”
