Frank Ski Shares His Personal News and Financial Woes with V-103 Listeners
Frank Ski, who recently returned to his familiar morning drive post at at Entercom urban “V-103” WVEE Atlanta, had more than $1 million in debt when he was forced to file for bankruptcy protection last year—and he’s not shy about sharing those woes with listeners over the air and in the press.
Ski’s financial issues began shortly after his nearly 15-year run at “V-103” in 2012, which coincided with troubles at a restaurant he owned, according to Atlanta Journal-Constitution media reporter Rodney Ho. And then, in 2015, Ski and his wife divorced after 20 years of marriage. She filed a motion of contempt last year because Ski was not able to pay child support for their three children.
The personality was also open about the issues surrounding his bankruptcy on the air Wednesday morning. “It’s hard to admit you fail,” Ski said, according to the Journal-Constitution. [Rodney Ho of the AJC] “I was arrogant.”
