Rick Party posted an interview this week that aired originally on April 1, 2020 with legendary singer Betty Wright on the Rick and Sasha Show. In the interview Betty was strong and light hearted despite suffering from the effects of cancer at the time. Betty and Rick have known each other for a very long time. Rick was a longtime Miami radio personality at 99 Jamz and Betty, a native Miami, has been an influencer with younger Hip Hop and R&B artists like Lil' Wayne and DJ Khaled in the area besides having an outstanding hit singing career. R.I.P. Betty Wright.
Rick Party wrote:
To me, Betty Wright, was like a big sister, always willing to talk, easily accessible and no matter the time we didn't communicate because life happens... when we would catch up... everything was ALL GOOD.
On April 1, 2020, In the beginning of this interview, Sasha's asks for the tell all on me, Rick Party, and Betty playfully tells her I'm like a Luther Vandross because we always talked about me taking singing lessons with her. Sadly, it never happened 😢
Miss you, Betty.

Betty Wright was 17 when she recorded 'Clean up Woman'. Legend!!! The UNSUNG episode on Betty Wright was so powerful. You'll understand why we pay tribute to her. 💔 R.I.P. She touched so many artists' lives in R&B and Hip Hop. (2020 you suck) https://t.co/aVwYkZF3GT— Urban Radio Nation - Radio, Media, Sports, Culture (@UrbnRadioNation) May 10, 2020
