Marc Farzetta Exits 97.5 The Fanatic, Former Atlanta Sports Host John Kincade Could Be Tapped for Mornings

Marc Farzetta and former Philadelphia Eagles lineman Tra Thomas joined 97.5 The Fanatic in Philadelphia as morning hosts in October 2018. Thomas was let go in March due to budgetary cuts related to the coronavirus. Now Farzetta is out.

Before joining 97.5, Farzetta was seemingly being groomed to take over for long time morning host Angelo Cataldi at rival station Sportsradio 94 WIP. (Cataldi expressed disappointment when Farzetta left to compete against him.) He co-hosted and produced the morning show on WIP. He also hosted the “Philly Sports Talk” on TV at NBC Sports Philadelphia, which was formerly known as Comcast Sports Net.

Speculation of a new host on 97.5 has been floating around for awhile, as rumors surfaced that Craig Carton was reportedly offered the morning hosting job. He eventually returned to New York's Sports radio WFAN 101.9 FM/66 AM The Fan after a shortened prison sentence over a sports gambling and fraud conviction. But now multiple sites are reporting that former Atlanta sports radio host John Kincade will be the replacement for Farzetta.

Sports talk station 680 The Fan dropped veteran hosts Kincade (a former host at WIP, CBS Sports Radio and a Philly-area native) along with “Steak” Shapiro in September. Ironically enough, Kincade appeared regularly on the Cataldi show while a host in Atlanta.

The king of morning sports radio for the last 30 years in Philadelphia at WIP. Angelo Cataldi. The one 97.5 hasn't been able to defeat. They've tried multiple local hosts and ESPN Radio's Mike & Mike.
