Sage Steele Suspended by ESPN for Comments About President Obama's Racial Identity, Former Colleagues Mike Hill, Cari Champion, and Jemele Hill Sound Off

Sports anchor Sage Steele made controversial remarks about vaccine mandates, how female sportscasters dress and former President Barack Obama on Jay Cutler's podcast. She criticized ESPN for having a vaccine mandate. That comment made towards the company owned by Disney was probably the tipping scale that got her suspended. But the comments she made about President Obama's racial identity and his Nigerian father not being in his life most likely also led to management discussion on her suspension as well.

BNC's "Start Your Day" hosts Sharon Reed and Mike Hill, who used to work for ESPN, discuss Steele's controversial remarks. Hill says his former colleague only apologized to the company because it created controversy for ESPN as opposed to apologizing for her words. After ESPN suspended her, Steele apologized for her comments. Also chiming in are former ESPN anchors Cari Champion on CNN and Jemele Hill on the Dan Le Batard Show.

One thing for sure, all skin folk ain't kin folk.
