P-Stew of THE LIVE SQUAD Shares His Thoughts on Autumn Joi Calling Her Listeners “The Live Squad”
The "Live Squad" (Da Live Squad) was a legendary hip-hop and R&B radio show that aired on 93.9 WKYS (WKYS-FM) in Washington, D.C. hosted by Steph Lova, Poochman (Pooch), and P-Stew beginning in 1997.
What happened to The Live Squad?
Steph Lova: As the standout voice of the show, she moved to New York City after about three years to join WQHT (Hot 97). She built an extensive multimedia career, including co-hosting on NYC's Power 105.1, working as a field host on BET's Rap City. She appeared on VH1's Love & Hip Hop, and provided voiceovers for major ad campaigns. She returned to the D.C. airwaves for a time to co-host the morning show on WPGC 95.5 and currently broadcasts on Magic 95.9 in Baltimore.
Poochman: After The Live Squad era wrapped up, Pooch landed on The Hot Boyz night show on Power 99 in Philadelphia. Later on he moved on to do mornings on WPHI-FM 100.3 The Beat with Laiya and Monie Love.
P-Stew: Well, check out the full interview with QuickSilva.
