ESPN Unveils 2026-27 College Football Commentator Teams
ESPN has announced its broadcast team lineup for the 2026-27 college football season, highlighted by the return of its premier team. Chris Fowler, Kirk Herbstreit, and reporter Holly Rowe will once again serve as the lead crew for ABC and ESPN, marking Fowler and Herbstreit's 13th year calling games together in the booth and 30th overall as college football broadcast partners. The top team will also feature newcomer Steve Shaw, who joins ESPN as a rules analyst after a distinguished officiating career, including his previous role as the NCAA’s secretary-rules editor.
For its HBCU coverage, ESPN relies on the veteran pairing of Tiffany Greene and Jay Walker for their 10th consecutive season together. The duo will lead the commentary for ESPN’s HBCU spotlights, as well as high-profile marquee events like the Cricket MEAC/SWAC Challenge Kick-Off and the Cricket Celebration Bowl on ABC.
This fall, catch new pairings on nearly every ABC & @ESPNCFB crew 🤝
