Rumor has it that Wendy Williams will get the axe from WBLS New York in 2009. The Bonus Hour has been cut. She said the Bonus Hour is her favorite hour of her entire 5 hour afternoon segment. And adding in the extra hour on WBLS was her idea. She went off on-air about how wack they were for removing the bonus hour this upcoming Monday. Apparently her bosses said the listeners “voted” and wanted "more music, less talk". (The industry's biggest bullsh**code words) Listen for sound effect in this interview

If radio stations claim that "listeners “voted” and wanted "more music, less talk", then why do so many stations air syndicated talks shows in the first place. Add to the mix that those syndicated shows play more old and fewer new songs, and you have part of the reason for the downturn in retail sales. It's 1984 finally coming to fruition.
