New Sirius XM Radio Not Ready This Christmas

At some point the old receivers will become obsolete. You'll need a new receiver to get both satellite signals.

Chairman Mel Karmazin announced that the new Sirius XM "inter-operable" radio won't be available for at least 9 months. It was also announced that the new radios won't be available for at least 3 years in automobiles because car manufacturers need that much time to incorporate the design into new cars. The new company has 18.5 million subscribers and anticipates becoming the largest radio company in the world next to Clear Channel.
