Dr. Boyce Watkins Slams D.L. Hughley's new show

My thoughts on 'D.L. Hughley Breaks the News': The first week wasn't that good. D.L. seemed very nervous hosting the show and overall it wasn't funny. I'm going to give the show another week to get it together. He may need a co-host because I think he does better playing off another person. I like on the edge comedy like Dave Chappelle but the first week wasn't hitting it. Using Ashy Larry as Freddie Mac (Donnell Rawlings) from the Chappelle show was an OK attempt at being edgy, but D.L. needs to bring it on his next show. But I wonder, if Berne Mac did the same thing, would folks think it was funny...

A few years back, D.L. Hughley was fired as a morning host on (Stevie Wonder owned) KJLH; when he made a joke on the air about how raggedy the studio was and even Stevie should be able to see that.
