Angie Martinez Gets Picked Up By BET for Late Nights
Hot 97's Angie Martinez made a strong impression on the pilot she did for BET back in November and based on the 1.5 million viewers the show attracted; she will do a weekly TV show for the rest of the year. BET ordered 40 episodes of The Angie Martinez Show, based on the ratings from the November 24 pilot, featuring Jay Z, LL Cool J and Marc Anthony. Angie’s show is produced by United Entertainment Group and Queen Latifah’s Flavor unit, and will air on BET Monday evenings at 11:30, starting March 2.
