Radio One Makes More Moves in Atlanta or Did They?
What the hell is going on in Atlanta? Nothing.
I thought I check out 102.5 on-line this evening and I hear them identify themselves as WAMJ Mableton/Atlanta "Majic 102.5", huh? What no gospel music? Then a few minutes later Si-Man says Grown Folks Radio 102.5. During the breaks the station is announcing themselves as "102-5" while you can hear the de-emphasis placed on the Grown Folks Radio. And you wonder why Radio One stock is worth less than an item on the dollar menu.
This has got to be confusing for the listeners of the ATL, since the AJC, the Atlanta newpaper is reporting that Praise moved from 97.5 to 102.5.
Apparently not a thing has changed, yet.

The former Praise 97.5, (WPZE) is now simulcasting the programming of 107.5 as urban AC Majic 107.5. Now “Praise” moves up the dial from 97.5 to 102.5. So "Grown Folks Radio" and its imaging is gone. I thought "Grown Folks" imaging was an innovative move from Radio One Atlanta. What's next? A whole bunch of call letters switching and changes for 107.5 WJZZ, 102.5 WAMJ, and 97.5 WPZE.
