Big Boy's Neighborhood Bounced from Power 99
Citadel Media/ABC Radio's Big Boy's Neighborhood, syndicated morning has lost another major station on the east coast. Last month Hot 97 (WQHT) in New York dropped Big Boy from it's morning line-up from 7-10 a.m. and decided to add addtional hours to the Cipha Sounds and Peter Rosenberg 5 a.m. Morning Show to better compete with the The Ed Lover Show on Power 105.1. Big Boy replaced Miss Jones in the morning after her firing at Hot 97.
Now Big Boy is gone from the airwaves of Power 99 (WUSL) in Philadelphia as of this morning. Big Boy came aboard in Philly to replace the Star and Buc Wild Show.
No word if this ends Big Boy's LIVE east coast syndication run as the show was on the air at 3:00 a.m. from L.A.'s Power 106 studios to broadcast to the east coast. Power 99 is going with all music and have not named a replacement show to compete with Charlamagne the local show on 100.3 the Beat.
