Pittsburgh Station Fills Urban Music Void with New Evening Show
"Q in the City" is hosted by former WAMO personality Tracey Lee. The music will feature artists such as Earth Wind and Fire, Luther Vandross, Mariah Carey and Kool and the Gang. There's some crossover with the music played on WLTJ's adult contemporary format, and the show's playlist is also designed to complement the music heard on WLTJ's HD2 channel, which listeners need an HD radio receiver to hear. "Q in the City" airs Sunday through Friday from 9 p.m. to midnight. WAMO went off the air earlier this month, after the station sale closed. The new owners plan to change the three stations -- WAMO-FM and AM and WPGR-AM -- to a religious/Catholic format.
