Tom Joyner Leads Multicultural Session on Advertising at NAB Radio Show

WASHINGTON, D.C./NEW YORK -- The Radio Advertising Bureau (RAB) and the National Association of Broadcasters (NAB) announced today a Radio Show super session focused on multicultural advertising. Titled "The McDonald's Story - Led with Ethnic Insights," the session will feature a conversation between Neil Golden, chief marketing officer, McDonald's USA and Tom Joyner, Host of The Tom Joyner Morning Show.

The super session will be held 11:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 15th at the Hyatt Regency Chicago.

Golden and Joyner will share their views on the shift towards 'mosaic marketing' and how it is evolving the way the mass market develops marketing and programming efforts. They will also discuss the power of radio and its unmatched ability to engage multicultural audiences.

"We are thrilled to welcome Neil Golden and Tom Joyner to the Radio Show," said RAB's President and CEO Jeff Haley. "They are on the cutting edge of consumer trends showcasing how brands like McDonald's and radio are creating unique cultural mash-ups resulting in unparalleled success."

In his role as CMO, Golden is responsible for leading, executing, developing and communicating fully integrated, cross-functional marketing, advertising, media and promotional activities to drive long-term growth. The McDonald's veteran of 18 years also works to expand strategic partnerships as a member of the McDonald's U.S. Executive Management Team. Prior to McDonald's, Golden worked for Burger King and RC Cola Co. The Chicago native currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Thurgood Marshall College Fund and the Advisory Board for the Suzuki-Orff School of Music.

Influential radio personality, entrepreneur and philanthropist Tom Joyner has earned almost every top radio award in the country and the title "The Hardest Working Man in Radio." His top-rated syndicated radio morning show features who's who in celebrities, political figures, newsmakers and comedians, reaching over 8 million listeners in 105 markets.

He is founder of REACH Media Inc., the Tom Joyner Foundation and BlackAmericaWeb.com.
