CBS Radio Launches Atlanta's 92.9 The Game
The ATL now has three Sports Talk Stations
Atlanta sports fans have a new choice for news and information about their favorite sports teams. 92-9 The Game (WZGC-FM) features locally produced programs hosted by familiar Atlanta voices, along with headline updates every 20 minutes and a full lineup of NFL and college football play-by-play coverage.
"Opening Drive" is the morning show at the station with NBA-TV host Rick Kamla, along with three-time Super Bowl champion and CBS Sports analyst Randy Cross and former Atlanta radio host CJ Simpson.
Among other notable host are former NFL player and NFL TV host Jamie Dukes who can be heard during the midday shift and former Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Kordell Stewart.
No word on if former 790 The Zone hosts 'The 2 Live Stews' (Doug and Ryan Stewart) will join the station after their non-complete clause has expired sometime in 2013.
The AJC columnist Rodney Ho has more on the transition from 92.9 DAVE FM to the new 92-9 The Game.
