Radio Reacts to Zimmerman Not Guilty Verdict

Late Saturday evening and early Sunday morning various stations suspended regular programming to take calls from listeners following the announcement of the not guilty verdict in the George Zimmerman trial that was announced at approximately 10:00 pm ET.
Many stations focused their Monday (yesterday July 15) programming on the trial and the resulting verdict. Radio stations along with Social Media has given many the opportunity to express their support for Trayvon Martin and his family along with their sadness, anger, and frustration in the verdict. Many radio stations across the country continue their efforts today on what The New York Daily News cover has called, "The Verdict That Shocked America."
