Howard University Launches The HBCU Channel on Sirius XM Radio
96.3 WHUR's owner, Howard University programs another station for satellite radio. and adds to their network of stations.
The HBCU Channel is an informational and musical offering on Sirius XM Radio Channel 142. Produced by and in conjunction with the nation’s Historically Black Colleges and Universities, the HBCU Channel is a service provided by Howard University in Washington, D.C. The HBCU Channel is offered by Howard University to other historically black colleges and universities to highlight and focus on the activities of each institution and its contributions to the African Diaspora.
The universities initially offered programming are: American Baptist College, Hampton University, Jackson State University, Prairie View A&M University, Virginia State University, Tennessee State, and Howard.

Howard University also programs H.U.R. Voices on SiriusXM-141. The Howard University Radio Network also includes not only 96.3 WHUR also, WHUR World 96.3 HD2, Student run WHBC HD3, and GlassHouseRadio.
