Buckshot Goes In on Old Man Ebro of Hot 97 and Says Radio is Dying
**explicit** Some real good industry urban/hip hop radio talk on various platforms.
Buckshot details why he called Hot 97 program director Ebro Darden an "Uncle Tom" during an interview on the Combat Jack Show. He explains it's because he believes Ebro is getting too caught up in pleasing the radio execs, adding that "New York radio is dead." Buckshot also claims that he doesn't think that people need radio anymore since the internet and smart phones have made it outdated. The Boot Camp Clik leader then shares his thoughts on the term "blackball," claiming that there's no such thing and it's just a term for "people that failed and want an excuse." Interview from VLADTV.com
-What many people fail to realize is that mainstream audiences run the hip hop engine. If an artist can be marketed to mainstream audiences, (i.e. Macklemore) then they get played. Still wondering why Power 105.1 doesn't get the same heat from New York rappers as Hot 97 does??? Is it because Hot says "Where Hip Hop Lives" in the city where hip hop began or they all know Ebro is not from New York but he controls New York radio.
Buckshot talks about his sneakers (...this was the day after the infamous Sway/Kanye interview)
