Check Out New Music from Bay Area Artist Goapele

Rolling Stone magazine called the Bay Area native Goapele the “spiritual love child of Sade and D’Angelo,” her searing voice can be both sensuous and serious, often on the same song. She is back with a new song on her forth coming album 'Strong as Glass.'

The first single from the album is 'Hey Boy.'  She talks her recent career moves on the interview below.

Goapele's first hit song "Closer" was released back in 2001 at the height of the Neo-Soul era. But like many artists from the late 90's/early 00's that brought forth a new style of R&B music; none of them then and now want to be categorized as "Neo-Soul." You can simply call her a very talented singer. The song Closer was featured in the soundtrack for the movie 'Honey' with Jessica Alba, Mekhi Phifer, and Missy Elliott.

Watch it below.
