The Stephen A. Smith Show Returns to ESPN Radio New York and Los Angeles
By On Tuesday, Jan. 17, The Stephen A. Smith Show will return
to ESPN’s owned and operated radio stations in Los Angeles – ESPN LA710 –
and New York – 98.7FM. The same day, the two-hour program will debut
on ESPN’s SiriusXM Channel 80. The
program – which currently is broadcast on SiriusXM’s Mad Dog Sports
Radio channel – will continue to be broadcast on SiriusXM Channel 80
weekdays from 1 – 3 p.m. ET and showcase the dynamic personality and
provocative opinions of host Stephen A. Smith, as he takes listeners,
and his guests, through the hottest topics of the day in sports. The
show originates from ESPN Audio’s headquarters in Bristol, Conn.
The Stephen A. Smith Show will also be available digitally via ESPNRadio.com, the ESPN app and TuneIn Radio. In addition, the program will be available as a daily podcast. Smith will continue to appear on First Take, ESPN’s daily debate program (10 a.m. – noon, Monday through Friday).
“This is Phase I towards much bigger things on the horizon,” said Smith. “There is no better way to get this party going than by starting in my hometown (Queens) New York, and LA, the City of Angels. But like I said, this is only the beginning. Stay Tuned!”
Traug Keller, senior vice president, ESPN Audio, added, “There is no one like Stephen A. and his show is a must listen. Sports fans will now have more options to listen to his heartfelt commentary on the issues of the day, through our flagship stations in New York and Los Angeles, on our digital platforms and on SiriusXM.”

- The first two hours of Russillo & Kanell (1 – 3 p.m.) will move to ESPN Xtra, SiriusXM Channel 81, while the third hour will remain on ESPN Radio Channel 80.
- The Dan Le Batard Show with Stugotz will air nationally on ESPN Radio and SiriusXM Channel 80 (10 a.m. – 2 p.m.) while also airing locally in New York City on ESPN Deportes Radio New York 1050AM (Noon – 2 p.m.).
- Current ESPN Radio New York 98.7FM staple Hahn & Humpty will move to the 10 a.m. – 1 p.m. timeslot.
