Joe Budden and Lil Yachty’s Discussion is Important

The Vibe Magazine article- "Joe Budden And Lil Yachty’s Discussion Is More Important Than You Think And Here’s Why" is one of the few articles out there on the internet that actually defends Joe Budden's point of view. Too many people on social media are focusing on Budden's counter opinion to Lil' Yachty's declaration that he is always happy.

What many are missing is Budden's appeal to Yachty's unawareness of the marketing by labels that goes into pushing certain types of music, be it hip hop, or any other genre, to the forefront of the listening public's consciousness. It's not just an Old Head spouting bitterness- or East Coast vs. West Coast- or hate for Dirty South rap. It's an important discussion because a certain agenda is being pushed within Hip Hop through what many are calling "mumble" rap. Lil' Yatchy's naiveté is alarming for sure for anyone that's been around the block or two. The possibility of him being exploited is out of the realm of possibility for him. He even states that the music and concepts are his ideas only. However the seeds planted for his so-called "out of the box" and "outcasts" thinking were dropped when he was in middle school. (Think Tyler the Creator) Now at the ripe old age of 19, the labels have in Yachty, someone they can promote, in the image they want, that has now been manifested through his music. Yachty believes he came up with his happy "positive music" concept on his own. And the kids love it. At the end of the day, music is a business, and Yachty, Lil Boat, needs to be more aware. Take note fans of Bobby Schmurda.

Vibe Magazine further explores the discussion between Joe Budden and Lil' Yachty. Many are saying this is one of the most important discussions ever in hip hop. Read the Rest of the story [Click Here...]
