Rickie Ricardo, Former WBLS Personality Makes Winning Call for Eagles Giants Game in Spanish
This is the Spanish radio call of Eagles kicker Jake Elliott’s miraculous 61-yard field goal kick that sent the rival Giants to an 0-3 record, and it is amazing, capped off by a “SI SENOR! SI SENOR! SI SENOR!” for the ages by Rickie Ricardo of the Eagles Spanish Radio Network on El Zol WHAT 1340-AM.

Rickie Ricardo's career begins in March of 1980 when the 18 year old Cuban-American was discovered by New York radio legend Frankie Crocker while working at WOKB-AM in Orlando, FL.
Frankie brought Rickie to New York’s powerhouse WBLS-FM radio station and the legendary career took off like a rocket! Rickie Ricardo was the first bi-lingual Latino to breakthrough and succeed in the general market media world. Blending his native Spanish language with English, Rickie achieved top ratings and huge name recognition in the media capitol of the world. A combined 17 years on New York radio include stints at Hot 97 and Mega 97.9 where Rickie brought the Spanish language format to the attention of the American market.
It was here where Rickie co-founded the renowned “Vacilon de la Manana” morning show with partner Luis Jimenez. Rickie also pioneered the young bi-lingual “Latin Rythmn” radio format at Mega 94.9 in Miami as host of the “Megaflo Morning Show.”
Now you can also hear Rickie handling the Spanish broadcast as the Play by Play Voice of the New York Yankees along with being the football voice for the Philadelphia Eagles. He is also a sports talk host in English for CBS Radio's two most popular Sports radio stations in the country, 94 WIP in Philadelphia and 660 AM /101.9 FM The Fan WFAN in New York City.
