April Ryan Reveals She Almost Quit Her White House Job After Back and Forth with Sean Spicer

American Urban Radio Networks White House correspondent April Ryan opened up about wanting to quit as a the network's reporter over then White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer‘s infamous demeaning display toward her earlier this year.

Ryan said in portions of her speech that she struggled after the former press secretary berated and told her “stop shaking her head” over a question about the Trump’s administration’s link to Russia during a media briefing in March. Ryan accepted the “She Persisted” award for overcoming that struggle from the Women’s Media Center event last week.
