First Take Tips Off NBA Regular Season in Los Angeles Ahead of Lakers vs. Clippers Showdown

Special Guests Include: Actors Miles Brown, Jeff Garlin & Boris Kodjoe Plus Full Lineup of ESPN NBA Analysts

Live from Brand New Studio Space at ESPN’s Los Angeles Production Center

ESPN’s popular morning debate show First Take – featuring Stephen A. Smith, Max Kellerman and host Molly Qerim Rose – will be live from ESPN’s Los Angeles Production Center from October 21-25 as the 2019-20 NBA regular season begins. All week from 10 a.m.-noon ET on ESPN and the ESPN App, the show will have the latest insight on the marquee matchups including Tuesday’s showdown between the Los Angeles Lakers and LA Clippers (10 p.m., ESPN Radio). Tuesday’s edition of First Take will also include a live studio audience made up of fans of both teams in anticipation of that night’s battle for Los Angeles at the Staples Center.

“First Take on the road is all about bringing fans real opinions and perspectives from where the action is happening and incorporating local guests and stars who know their teams best,” said ESPN coordinating producer, Antoine Lewis. “With that in mind, we couldn’t think of a better way to start off the NBA regular season than with a full week of shows from Los Angeles with Stephen A., Max and Molly at ESPN’s studios across the street from the Staples Center.”

First Take will welcome a full lineup of celebrity guests to go head to head with Smith and Kellerman, including actors Miles Brown from Black-ish, Jeff Garlin from The Goldbergs and Boris Kodjoe. A full lineup of ESPN NBA analysts will also join the show providing their expert analysis on the latest breaking news as the 2019-20 regular season gets underway.

The five shows will be live from a brand new studio space at ESPN’s Los Angeles Production Center that features a Los Angeles-centric look all tied together with a backdrop image of the city’s iconic skyline.
