Frank Ski of V-103 Talks Radio and Business on The I dO Music Podcast
Frank Ski sat down with Sammy Approved of the "I dO Music" podcast to talk about his successful radio career along with the ups and downs of owning a restaurant in Atlanta. Frank Rodriguez who was born in Harlem, raised in Miami, and moved to Washington, D.C. to attend college at the University of D.C., shared some fascinating stories. An interesting look into the life of one of the industry's most successful local radio personalities. He may not want to be called a legend, but his status in Atlanta radio, Baltimore radio, and the B-More Club scene makes him a legend.
Frank Ski aspired to be a lawyer in college but a mentor helped him realize that his gift was doing what he loved. He transitioned from D.C. to being a legendary Baltimore Club DJ and a very popular on-air personality at the former WXYV (102.7 FM) V103. Coming to Atlanta was a twist of fate that he didn't necessary welcome at first while at CBS Radio (WXYV) Baltimore.
He was being considered for a high profile morning show gig in Washington, D.C. He was all set to replace an iconic Urban radio personality in the DMV. When that didn't come through, he was asked to come to Atlanta's WVEE V-103. And the rest is history.
Frank Ski current hosts 'The Morning Culture' on V-103 with JR Monday to Friday from 6-10 A.M.
