That Time Howard Stern Interviewed Donnie Simpson on His Wedding Anniversary
Joining in on the interview was Robin Quivers and Dee Snider of the rock group Twisted Sister.
Today Howard and Robin are on Sirius XM and Donnie is on WMMJ Majic 102.3/92.7 in the afternoon. Incidentally both personalities, two of the best in the history of radio, are 66 years old having been born in January of 1954.
As it turns out Stern and Simpson crossed paths in Washington. D.C. years earlier. In 1981 Howard began working at WWDC DC101 as the morning host. He lasted there until June of 1982. Then it was on to New York and 66 WNBC Radio. Donnie had moved from Detroit to D.C. in 1977 to work at WRC-FM which became WKYS. He was also the weekend sports anchor at Channel 4 WRC-TV. He's been in the DMV ever since. It was during this time that Robin Quivers joined Howard Stern as his news anchor at DC101. 40 years later they are still on the radio. And we can report Donnie and his wife Pam are still happily married.

As a bonus here's audio of another great radio personality Jocko Henderson we captured on a cassette tape many years ago. (Having no idea who Jocko was. Whatever WDAS FM played we recorded. Alumni Day sounded like it was going to a special day. So there you have it.) Visuals were added by Ellis Feaster.
