The Rick and Sasha Show Under Quarantine, Radio Preparing for Social Distancing
Cumulus Media Atlanta's offices and studios are under quarantine after an employee came in contact with a friend currently being tested for possible infection of COVID-19. The Rick and Sasha Show syndicates from Atlanta and airs locally on OG 97.9.
While interviewing a doctor on air today on the coronavirus, Sasha the Diva told the listeners she, Rick Party, and George Willborn were under quarantine and were broadcasting from home.
(There is no confirmation that the employee at Cumulus Media tested positive for the virus. None of the show's members have mentioned the quarantine on their social media pages. The show is carrying on as normal, however The Sasha Secrets celebrity/gossip news segment with Chef Will "Swoosh" Brown have been repeats.)
The other stations involved in the quarantine at Cumulus Atlanta are Rock 100.5, New Country 101.5, and Q99.7, the home of the syndicated "The Bert Show."
On the Social Distancing front, Hot 97's Ebro in the Morning team member Rosenberg is broadcasting from home. He also does sports talk on The Michael Kay Show on 98.7 ESPN Radio. Megan Ryte is broadcasting middays from her apartment in New York City until further notice.
V-103's Frank Ski, host of the The Morning Culture, set up his own music studio months ago with broadcast capabilities. He's all set to go if asked to broadcast from home.
