Radio Vet and Atlanta's Own Ryan Cameron in ICU, But NOT from a Heart Attack
(Updated 4/14/20) Majic 105.7/97.5 Afternoon host Ryan Cameron is in an intensive care unit at an Atlanta area hospital
Cameron, a native of Atlanta, is also the public address announcer for the NBA's Atlanta Hawks. He's worked for most of his career in the ATL spending many years at V-103 and the former Hot 97.5 (now Hot 107.9) as both a morning drive and afternoon drive host. He's also worked briefly in Washington, D.C. as the morning man at 93.9 WKYS and as a morning television host at Atlanta's 11 Alive WXIA-TV.
Here's the update: Rashan Ali reported to listener's of “Ryan Cameron Uncensored” on Majic 107.5/97.5 the condition of her former co-worker at Hot 107.9. She is filling in for Ryan this week.
“I have been in contact with his family so let me set the record straight,” Ali said. “Ryan Cameron wanted to make it known that there was no heart attack, contrary to news outlets and sources.”
Rashan is a veteran Atlanta area television and radio personality. She was most recently seen as a host on The TV ONE daytime talk show "Sister Circle." Unfortunately the show has been cancelled by the show's production company Tegna Broadcast Group and not TV ONE. Sister Circle will air repeats until April 24. Production on the show was halted on March 16 due to the coronavirus.
Ryan Cameron is a two-time Emmy Award winner and member of the Georgia Radio Hall of Fame.
