WFAN Morning Hosts Boomer & Gio Have Fun With The Entercom "Radio. com" Name Change to "Audacy"
The derivation of the name AUDACY is part audio, part audacious, and part odyssey. These are the words of David Field the chairman of the Philadelphia-based company. The company now formerly known as Entercom was founded by Joseph M. Field (David's father) in 1968.
Field said that Entercom had outgrown its former name. Read more on the Audacy name change.
Only difficulty we're having is trying to say "Audacy" in the Xfinity remote to listen to the former Radio. com stations through the TV app and it always comes out as "Odyssey."
Good luck with the name but there will be a tweak or name change in a couple of years.
