Majic 104.9 Leaves the St. Louis Airwaves and Flips to Conservative Talk
The iconic “Majic” Adult R&B brand was one of the most recognizable and successful stations in the country even though throughout it's history it has been relocated to several different frequencies. Majic 104.9 returned to the airwaves in 2020 after initially being shuttered in 2014 and revived in 2017 on the 103.7 translator. But it never reestablished it's popularity with Adult R&B listeners in St. Louis on 104.9 FM.
Majic has been heard on 107.7 as “Majic 108” when it was brought to St. Louis marketplace in 1979 and stayed there until 1997. It was bumped over to 104.9 due to it's popularity and to give it a better signal. Over the last 24 years it has been heard on 104.9, 100.3, and 103.7. By the way 103.7 FM is now the home to BIN, the Black Information Network.
Popular on-air personalities have included Tammi Holland, Deneen Busby, Chaz Saunders, Marc Clarke, DJ Kut, Tony Scott and many others. Scott now hosts afternoons host on Audacy's 96.3 R&B “For The Lou” WFUN-FM; which has it's owned interesting history as well as it was once owned by Radio One and heard on 95.5 FM under the branding “The Lou” and “Foxy.”
The Patriot will feature Jamie Allman as morning host with Premiere Networks syndicated radio hosts Glenn Beck, Clay Travis & Buck Sexton, Sean Hannity, Jesse Kelly and Dave Ramsey.
