The Frank Ski Show with Nina Brown Score Big Radio Numbers in Atlanta and Washington, D.C., Major Announcement Coming

The Frank Ski Show with Nina Brown ranked as the number one urban morning radio show in Atlanta and the number two ranked afternoon radio show in Washington, D.C. radio markets. They also were highly ranked in the ALL and MOST important radio demo women 25-54. It must be noted that these shows are live and local. They're heard on Kiss 104.1 in the ATL and Howard University's 96.3 WHUR. That means they are NOT syndicated or voice tracked. Kudos to Frank Ski and Nina Brown for doing a remarkable job. We also shout out DJ Herb, who is hands down the best 5 o'clock traffic jam mix DJ in the country.

They are live on the radio each morning in Atlanta. Then they go live in the DMV in the afternoons. This goes against the grain in what the radio industry has become in recent years. But each station made a commitment to locally produced programs. Each show addresses the local issues in each city seamlessly as was the case with bringing the issues to the public in the recent election for mayor in Atlanta. Frank Ski and Nina are out in the community as well in both cities be it hosting the mayoral debate or attending the Howard homecoming.

This is very similar to what Tom Joyner did years ago before syndication. Joyner was known as "The Fly Jock." He would do mornings in Dallas at K104 and afternoons in Chicago at WGCI. Joyner did this for eight years. But technology today allows Frank Ski and Nina to work in studio at Kiss 104.1 in Atlanta and broadcast live to the DMV in the afternoons.

Do they face stiff competition? Yes they do. In Atlanta they go up against Steve Harvey and Rickey Smiley and of course all-news station WSB. In the DMV they compete with DC radio legend Donnie Simpson.

Here's the IG post below. Frank Ski teases a major announcement is coming.

Would they...could they do middays in another city? That would be crazy...
